I was wondering if someone could help me identify this tree. I took the photo in the Jardin Botanico, Havana, but have been told that the tree is native to Venezuela.

Thank you, Nandan, for setting me on the right course. It is a member of the Caesalpiniaceae, like the Saraca. After some research the blindingly obvious hit me - try the Jardin Botanico! Very kindly they have provided the correct identification - Brownea coccinea Jacq.
