Pinus banksiana 'Broom'

    'Broom' not a valid cultivar name. According to Iseli scion wood was donated by Ed Rezek from a witch's broom he found. Iseli propagated this conifer and the cultivar name 'Broom' was never corrected. Iseli sees no need to change it as it has sold under this name for years.

    Growth habit is upright and irregular with dense foliage to ground. Branching structure is irregular and curving. One of the few Pinus banksiani that has some character.

    Species name is spelled banksiana.
