I've grown lilies for years and I want to know how you guys
in the Pacific Northwest can get your Martagon types to
live? What's your secret? Here we kill them off by over
watering them and watch them rot out on us, even grown
    in a coarse sand.

It seems no matter what I do I can't get Turk's Cap lilies to
see the third year no matter what I do for them. Give me
an Asiatic hybrid and I can grow it, and Aurelian hybrid, no
problem, Oriental hybrids, no real problems there either
but any Martagon type other than a Tiger Lily and I am out
    of my league.

    Jim
