I have a tiger lily that has finished blooming and has dropped its leaves.
I want to plant it outside next year, but the area has not been created yet.
What steps are needed to keep it in the basement until spring time.

    Thanks,

    Don

I would put it in the ground outside. I think they need the freezing winter period. Just stick it in the ground anywhere temporarily and move it very early in the spring before it starts to grow. You could just plant the entire pot in the ground until spring in an out of the way spot for now.
