I have just moved to a house which has the attached two plants in the garden. Anyone know what they are?
Ha! Thought 'that first one looks like my gooseneck loosestrife'---no wonder! Looked it up and sure enough, its scientific name is...Lysimachia clethroides. Consensus! In my experience, this plant likes moist/wet conditions---and, like Sherwin-Williams, will 'cover the earth' if you let it do so. Nice vigorous plant, and makes flowers that bees enjoy. I was thinking Lobelia for the blue flower, but I think saltcedar (as ever) is correct.
