Please help identify this plant

I am trying to identify this plant that was given to me from my great grandmother after she died.



sorry I don't have a close up of the bloom.

 

Looks like a giant Amaryllis, or a relative thereof.

Botanically a Hippeastrum. There are web site(s) with galleries of photos and brief descriptions of some of the many kinds.

 

thanks. My mom has been trying to tell me that it is a Lily of some sort. I do know that plant is over 100 years old.
