I took a cutting from a basket of assorted tropical plants in my office about a year ago. The plant propigated very easily, and since that time, leaves have fallen and new stems have sprung up. It has flowered once. The flowers were small, bright pink and clustered. The Leaves are waxy and green, but not thick like a succulent. The stems are woody at the base, and creen and fleshy near the leaves. I have made an attempt at uploading pictures, so hopefully they help a bit. Unfortunately, I didn't get any of the flowers. Any help I could get on identification would be greatly appreciated. K
Thanks SO much, I think you might be right! I never connected because I didn't realize it was a succulent and because mine looks a little less manicured than the google images :) I have no idea why the stems have gotten so long and top-heavy?? It looks like I can probably just prune it back and it'll figure itself out? K
Shows their native habitat. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7e/Kalanchoe_thyrsiflora01.jpg Many will grow next to a shrub or rock for some relief from the sun.
