In The Garden: please help to ID this crazy plant!

    This came out of a marigold seed packet but is clearly not a marigold. No one locally can identify it including multiple florists and nurseries.

    I would greatly appreciate the help figuring out what this is!

    Thank you for the quick reply! That's closer than anything else I've come up with.

    It's about 5 feet tall now. I'm curious to how it's going to last in the winter.

    It won't if you get below 0 Centigrade. But it will re-seed itself, copiously, into your garden.
