strange plant

    I am a fairly new gardner, but have a curiously strange plant that i would like to identify...Anyone???

  2. Might turn out to be Artemisia vulgaris, bears some resemblance but I'm not certain.

    My first reaction is Delphinium ??? from the overall look of the plant...

    So, does that make it a weed???
     
  5. i don't know what it "was" i did end up pulling it out. I filled that spot with lunar hibiscus.

    The leaves are Delphinium-like, but I wonder why it hasn't flowered yet?

    As far as pulling plants out goes, someone once told me that, if you buy a house (especially in the fall or winter) and it has an established garden, you should always wait a year to see what comes up, rather than destroying what is there. I found this to be good advice.
