In The Garden: bloedel reserve plant id question

    I saw this amazing ground cover at bloedel reserve a few years ago and just stumbled across the photos. does anyone know what plant this is?

    I think it is Azorella trifurcata. Bolax gummifera is very similar. The Azorella has yellow flowers.

    This grows in the S. American section of the Alpine Garden here.

    Did you touch it? Feels like plastic.

    thank you! i can't remember how it felt but i love the dense mounding habit. I will do some research on those 2 plants. I'm in seattle so maybe the Azorella will work!
