I have this vine growing in my back yard for years now, in the spring it gets maroon flowers that are fragrant, very tiny. And also gets very small maroon berries on it that the birds devour.
Well today I saw this blue fruit on it, it's incredibly large, larger than my hand, waxy and cold to the touch, it seems to have split open, any ideas what this may be?

Thank you very much! Had this vine for years and as I said never did anything like this before, infact it has always had small round berries, to see this fruit took us back to the days of alien pods!
