My tree is in need of help, I do not know much of plants sorry. : ( Why is said plant dying? what kind of plant is this?
Looks like Yucca guatemalensis (syn. Y. elephantipes), Spineless Yucca. It appears to be in a dark corner. Perhaps more light is in order.
It all make sense now, I mentioned this before moving it to a darker room, but my friend assured me it would be fine.
I'm not qualified to comment on artificial lighting. Whatever the source the plant needs to be in a location with bright light.
Re: artificial light I have a variegated yucca that is growing quite happily under a 2' full-spectrum grow light. If you're really attached to this plant but don't have a space for it with sufficient light, grow lights are easy to come by at most garden centres and relatively inexpensive.
