I've heard of a Japanese Maple introduced by a plantsman from Louisiana and named EP. I do not know if the name is the initials of a person or where the "EP" comes from. The leaf color I think is supposed to be red or purple. This tree is supposed to be a decent growing cultivar for hot or regions like Louisiana and Texas which might be a nice selection for gardeners in hot regions.

If anyone out there has photos taken during the spring-summer-autumn seasons and labeled as to dates taken of this EP cultivar, maybe you could upload them to this UBC site so everyone could see/review them. All you gardeners in Louisiana & Texas, can you supply these photos? Also give us your experience/thoughts about this tree. Thanks.

grdnrman, Greer Gardens webpage has a description and history of EP for your review. No picture alas.
Go to 'Acers' and the approporiate alphabet range like A to F.
