Can anyone please suggest a best fruit tree for western exposure?
I live in Oceanside, CA (San Diego County) near the ocean, the humidity is usually 60% here and it's sunny most of the day. If possible, something not to big and the roots preferably go deep down rather than spread horizontally. Is there any good candidate? Thanks a lot!

You might be interested in the Subropical Fruit Garden at the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinatas, where you can:

I will second Ron's suggestion. I just visited there during the Christmas holiday and found the Subtropical Fruit Garden to be a highlight. Many types of fruit were ripe at that time. You can grow quite a few 'exotic' fruits in the SD climate.
