Identification: Please Help Identify this Fungus

    Can someone please help me to identify this fungus that I found growing on an Asian citrus psyllid.

    Thank you for posting such an interesting question!

    Apparently Isaria fumosorosea (Paecilomyces fumosoroseus) is found in nature attacking the Asian citrus psyllid, and is now being used as a biocontrol agent. I don't know specific (macro) visual characters of this fungus, if there are any that would narrow down the ID, but here seems to be a possibility.

    The bug eaters, the entomopathogenic fungi, are often fairly host-specific, so narrowing down the fungi known to live on this critter will help.

    And I have a more general question: Can anyone tell me if the genus name Isaria is reserved for anamorphs?
