Help Identifying Plant w/ purple berries

    We've got this guy in our back yard in Colorado. We've not been in the house long, but I believe it flowers in the spring and has purpleish berries in the late summer/fall. We've got some concern as the dog is eating the berries. We hoped to identify it to determine if the berries are poisonous. Thanks!

    Looks like common hedging cotoneaster, Cotoneaster lucidus.
