This flower was found in the Tonto National Forest near Sheep Bridge, Yavapai County Arizona on September 29, 2012. The area is where the sandy flood plain of the Verde River meets the rock face of the canyon wall. The yellow daisy like flower looks a lot like brittlebush, however, the leave are not brittlebush. The leaves are kind of like a vine like. Not the common leaves that desert plants have. Any ideas what the plant is?

Check if Viguiera dentata matches your plant.
