The following was received via email:

I was told by nursery that coffin tree is not allowed to export from
Taiwan. Also the cone has to pick up from tree instead of from the ground.

Because the seeds came out (pop out)before dropped to the ground. Is
    that true statement??

If I am interesting to plant a coffin tree in Houston,I am afraid of
    that is impossible.Right??

Coffin tree has a name in Taiwan -February pine.It is different with May
    pine.Am I correct ??

I just came back from Taiwan .I got all the info.from the owner of this
nursery.I am not sure this guy gave me the right info. Would you provide
    more info.pali

There's a good chance it will grow fairly well in Houston, provided it has reasonably moist but well-drained soil

Try a google search for Taiwania + nursery to find stockists
