Could someone identify this plant
Hello, you guys are such a great resource when strange things start growing in my garden and I can't identify them. I need your help again. Thanks in advance.

Too tall-growing for that narrow bed. I measured one on Whidbey Island once that had a trunk 4' around.

It looks like Rhus typhina to me, but I'm not sure of white-flowering cultivars....

Agree w/ Ron. Sambucus racemosa - Red Elderberry gets huge! If no other reason, move it to save the foundation and the side walk.

Re: Could someone identify this plant
Thank you all for your ideas on species. I was pretty sure it would not be staying there for long, it is growing much too fast. I think a branch landed there during the winter storms and took root. It unfortunately will be in the burning pile before days end.
Happy gardening to you all.

Lorax, Rhus typhina has alternate leaves placement. Flowers are different too.

I realized that about a microsecond after I posted, but ethics dictate that I needed to let it stand. Thanks.

Much more likely to have arisen from seed than a branch fragment.
