This white fungus is growing on the cut ends of logs. This is in Southern Ontario after a wet summer. Any ideas?

Yes, I think that's it, it's really beautiful! Thanks a lot! Edible eh? I don't think I'll try it.

I went back for another look at this coral fungus. Some brainless yobbo had put the boot to both specimens.... that's what happens if it grows too near the path.... so I brought the broken bit home. See photo.

if the piece of the decomposing tree/log is movable, take it home and put it into the garden in a similiar lighting and moisture condition ;) or hope no other mushroom fanciers saw its location in the woods and go back next year at about the same time as you saw it. My inlaws used to have a few spots to go picking when they had the time. They went to the same spots every year for Chantrelles, Morels and a log that spawned a cluster of cauliflower mushrooms most years.

    Hi
I have also just found the exact same fungus. I have looked at coral or antler mushroom descriptions but have not found this exact match.
