I previously thought my plant was a luna hibiscus. Maybe it is.

I just noticed that the label on the pot says Tradewinds Hibiscus. What can you tell me about it. Is it the same as the luna or different. I need to know if I should plant it or save it as a house plant. Can I then plant it in the spring (If it survives). Any care instructions would also be appreciated!

So in that case roblou10, it is not the hardy hibiscus and needs to overwinter indoors.

THank you for your prompt reply. Any advise on how to keep it surviving indoors? Will it continue to flower or will it be dormant?

It is best to keep tropical hibiscus like any tropical house plant over the winter. It may bloom a little if the conditions are really good (lots of light.)

    This is good advice:

It looks just like the picture you pointed out. I will move it indoors when the weather begins to cool. Thank you!
