Identification: Looking for an ID!

    Found in Mission BC, growing on a dead tree, birch or alder or something like that. well dead.

    I can think of a couple candidates and would need a spore print to narrow it down.

    I can't tell much from the photo; but, if it is a medium size mushroom, a good bet would be the Deer Mushroom, Pluteus cervinus, although the gill spacing looks a bit too wide. The gills will be pink in mature specimens.
