Too tall-growing for that narrow bed. I measured one on Whidbey Island once that had a trunk 4' around.
Agree w/ Ron. Sambucus racemosa - Red Elderberry gets huge! If no other reason, move it to save the foundation and the side walk.
Thank you all for your ideas on species. I was pretty sure it would not be staying there for long, it is growing much too fast. I think a branch landed there during the winter storms and took root. It unfortunately will be in the burning pile before days end. Happy gardening to you all.
