I am getting mixed directions on how to prune a Weeping Santa Rosa Plum.
Some locations indicate a single leader form should be used while others recommend an Open vase form. Can anyone help me?

If this was a normally sized tree from a garden center style has probably already been determined by training at production nursery. How big is the specimen now, how far developed?

It was planted 2 years ago and appears to have a vase shape. A central leader could be forced but a vase would be easiest. Thanks

    Are the branches pendulous?

There are four sturdy branches to form a skeleton. Off of one there is a water sprout sticking straight up which could become a central leader. Off of the skeletal branches there are some branches which hang down somewhate but non that droop to the ground.

    Identification suspect.
