Pony Tail palm

    Indoor palm approx. 5' tall. Crown died, was wet - a rot type appearance. Is this disease? Recommended treatment.

    Doesn't sound good, do you have any photos? May still sprout from the base, what is your watering regime?

    It's pretty big in a very large pot. We water every 2-4 weeks. We had this plant as well as others installed in our atrium several years ago. We lost the top after a couple of years. The company where we bought the plants said it was not a water problem but can't remember what she said. I think she said it got a disease of some kind.

    Watering shouldn't be a problem, really need a photo to advise...
