I've had the Purple Robe Locust tree about 3 years. I love it. It's beautiful when it blooms and it drapes so beautifully when not in bloom I love to watch it move in the breeze. The problem is : All the suckers that are coming up in the yard. these suckers also have thorns. We are thinking of removing it before it gets any larger because of the suckers. Is there any help?

Probably grafted on black locust. You will have to keep cutting these sprouts off. If you remove the original grafted tree at this point the suckers will still be there afterward, so it will be sort of like throwing the baby out with the water. You will have to dig up the suckering root network as well.
