Hello. I am planning to plant a dwarf apple tree in my backyard in Kitsilano, Vancouver, BC. I would like to buy a tree that has a few different varieties grafted on it. Where is the best place to shop for it? I note that the upcoming UBC Botanical Garden Apple Festival will have apple trees for sale, but I didn't see any multiple-variety trees on the list posted on this website. I'd also appreciate any advice about good combinations of varieties for one tree.
    Thanks, Arlene.

    Arlene,
My advice to you is to stick to one variety per plant. Budding different varieties to one rootstock is a sales gimmick and doesn't even work out well. From experience, one variety being the more vigorous grower will overshadow the rest and thrive healthly at the expense of the others. Remember you have to pay so much more for the fanciful plant.
