Course Details Espalier is a pruning technique for training fruit trees into interesting shapes. Tony Maniezzo will discuss the cultural requirements, how to get started and how the trees are trained and pruned. This is a great skill for individuals who would like to grow fruit trees, but have a limited amount of space on their property.  

Instructor Tony Maniezzo, UBC Botanical Garden Horticulturist.  

Location At the Botanical Garden Pavilion. (Directions to the Botanical Garden)  

Class Size 15 people maximum  

Cost (General) $40.00  

Cost (Garden Members) $33.00  

Please Note Advance registration required. Participants will need to bring secateurs and a pair of gardening gloves. Dress for the weather.

How to Register

Maples

Maples is an online discussion forum all about the genus Acer. Topics include how to care for Japanese maples, identification of maple species and cultivars and controlling maple pests. Participants include members of the The Maple Society, a group of maple devotees and enthusiasts.
