Seminar Details UBC Botanical Garden is one of the participants in the nation-wide Canadensys project, an effort to provide a Canadian portal to university biological collections information. Dr. Randal Mindell will be talking about UBC Botanical Garden's efforts and contributions to this research initiative.  

Lecturer Dr. Randal Mindell is a palaeobotanist and an enthusiastic educator about nature. He is working for UBC Botanical Garden on the Canadensys project identifying unknown plant specimens, documenting the collections and preserving plant tissue.  

Location At the Botanical Garden Pavilion. The Garden Pavilion is in the centre of the North Gardens, a brief walk from the Garden entrance. (Directions to the Botanical Garden)

Plants: Science and Cultivation is an online discussion forum for questions of a scientific nature, such as the chemistry behind plant growth or the conventions of taxonomy. Participants include members of the UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research faculty and staff.
