The Canadian Peony Society - Pacific Region
The Canadian Peony Society was founded in 1998 by a small group of Ontario peony experts and enthusiasts. The Constitution of the new Society recognized the five regions in Canada; the Atlantic provinces, Quebec, Ontario, and the Prairie and Pacific regions.
For the past five years, the Society's goals have been to encourage and improve the cultivation and enjoyment of peonies in Canada. They encourage peony breeding to produce Canadian hybrids; locate and record locally bred peonies; are producing a national registry of collections; sponsor an annual peony show; and publish a quarterly newsletter.
Alice Macaulay, the newly appointed Director for the Pacific Region has put out the call for new members. For an application form or more information, please contact Alice at 604-266-2130 or by email.
